She has worked with brides of all ages, ethnicities and skin tones and is well known for her attention to detail, working with each one of her brides to create a customized look. After developing a foundation and skill set in these areas, Paige decided to pursue a career path focused on making women look and feel beautiful. With this inspiration in mind, her love for bridal hair and makeup soon followed. Janet learned at an early age the importance of loving you are, doing what you love, and following your dreams.
Samatha has ten years of experience as a professional makeup artist. She has worked with actors Josh Hutcherson, Jesse Metcalf, Nina Dobrev, Jessica Szohr, Vanessa Lengies, Forest Whitaker, and on advertising campaigns for Levi’s, Starbucks, Target, Old Navy, Tide, Shop Style, Pop Sugar, and Marchesa. Whether it was wearing his flyest kicks to school with his uniform, or getting styled by his mother who worked at Barney’s, or befriending streetwear designers such as Jun Lafayette—he was also born to be a designer.

HubaneHubane is an avant-garde brand specializing in handmade, individual garments and pieces. Flatbush-born founder Israel Yanir uses a material he created called “vernum” for most of his shoes and apparel.

An interior courtyard along with a privacy fence provides an element of seclusion to this home’s indoor-outdoor living environment. This enables the homeowner to have a seamless connection between interior and exterior for entertaining while giving them privacy from neighboring houses. The exterior facade is composed of a combination of materials including clear heart cedar, lime-washed brick, white horizontal siding, along with a standing seam metal roof. A warm material palette and a gathering space in the entry create a welcoming feel on this corner lot.
A waterproof, durable, and non-toxic material, vernum creates an effect that is almost sculpture-like. If that sounds overly stiff or formal, though, the word “hubane” is Estonian for “cozy.” Even though some of his fits look like they’re out of some dystopian horror flick.
